Hi, my name is Marcus. I was raised in Homewood, Illinois, virtually my whole life. I was born in New Jersey, but my parents moved to Illinois when I was a baby. I've been a student-athlete since elementary school and up through high school. College is a little different and currently I'm just focusing on academics. 

After graduating from high school, I took some time off from education and worked a couple different jobs, before deciding to build my college credits in an effort to get accepted to a university. The South seemed culturally different than the midwest and I knew that I wanted to go to school down here for a change. I eventually applied and was accepted to a couple universities in North Carolina and to Clemson University. I obviously decided on Clemson and now I'm looking to work towards a degree, while trying to hone a career in the process.
